Terms of Service
Last updated: April 22, 2026
Important disclaimer — read first
TexasPropPro is a self-service software tool. We are not a law firm, not a licensed tax advisor, and not a licensed property tax consultant. Nothing we provide is legal, tax, or financial advice. You are responsible for your own protest, for filing on time, and for any decisions you make based on information from this service.
1. Acceptance of these Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using TexasPropPro (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What TexasPropPro does
TexasPropPro helps Texas homeowners prepare property tax protests by searching public county appraisal district data, identifying comparable properties, producing evidence narratives using AI, and providing hearing preparation materials. We do not file protests on your behalf, we do not represent you before any appraisal review board, and we do not guarantee any particular outcome or savings.
3. No legal or tax advice
Information provided through the Service — including AI advisor responses, evidence narratives, protest strength analyses, and hearing preparation — is for informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney, certified public accountant, registered tax consultant, or other qualified professional. If you need professional advice, please consult one.
4. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old and a Texas property owner (or authorized to act on a property owner’s behalf) to use the Service. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.
5. Payment, refunds, and promo codes
The TexasPropPro Protest Kit is sold for a flat fee per property, processed by Stripe.
30-day refund guarantee. If you are not satisfied with the Kit for any reason, email hello@texasproppro.com within 30 days of your purchase and we will issue a full refund to your original payment method. You do not need to provide a reason. Refunds are typically processed within five business days. We reserve the right to decline refund requests that show clear evidence of abuse (for example, repeated purchase-and-refund cycles on the same property).
6. AI-generated content
Some parts of the Service use artificial intelligence (Anthropic’s Claude) to generate text, including evidence narratives, hearing prep, and advisor responses. AI output can be incorrect, incomplete, or biased. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content for accuracy before relying on it in any protest filing or hearing.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to submit protests for properties you do not own or are not authorized to represent.
- Scrape, copy, or resell the appraisal district data or comp engine output.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, probe, or interfere with the Service’s security.
- Impersonate another person or entity.
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
8. Intellectual property
The TexasPropPro software, brand, design, and comp engine are owned by Cognimble LLC. You retain ownership of any data you input about your property. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process that data solely to operate the Service for you.
9. No warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We do not warrant that using TexasPropPro will reduce your property taxes or lead to a successful protest.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TexasPropPro and Cognimble LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or one hundred US dollars (US$100.00), whichever is greater.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless TexasPropPro, Cognimble LLC, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claim, damage, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Subject to Section 13 below, any dispute not subject to arbitration shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas.
13. Binding arbitration and class-action waiver
Please read this section carefully. It affects your legal rights, including your right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action.
You and TexasPropPro agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration will take place in Austin, Texas, or another mutually agreed location, and may be conducted remotely if the arbitrator permits. The arbitrator’s decision is final and binding.
Class-action waiver: disputes must be brought on an individual basis. You waive any right to participate in a class action, class arbitration, or representative action.
Opt-out: you may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing hello@texasproppro.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. Small-claims court actions and injunctive-relief requests for intellectual-property or unauthorized-access claims are excluded from arbitration.
14. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that creates legal or security risk. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including sections 9–13 and 15) will survive.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date and, where required, notified by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
