Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

TexasPropPro is a brand of Cognimble LLC (“Cognimble,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We provide a self-service tool for Texas homeowners to prepare and file property tax protests. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what rights you have.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information: email address and password (stored hashed via Supabase Auth).
  • Property information: addresses, assessed values, square footage, year built, and related details you enter or that we pull from public county appraisal district records.
  • Tax profile: exemptions claimed, property classification, purchase price and date, and homestead status.
  • Property condition: condition ratings, notes, issue descriptions, and repair estimates you provide.
  • Payment information: processed by Stripe. We do not store card numbers or CVCs on our servers. We retain a transaction ID and amount for our records.
  • AI advisor conversations:messages you send to the Protest Advisor chat, along with the assistant’s responses, are stored so the conversation persists across sessions.
  • Usage data: basic server and error logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) kept for security and debugging.

3. How we use your information

  • To provide and operate the TexasPropPro service.
  • To generate evidence packages, hearing prep, and AI advisor responses personalized to your property.
  • To process payments and maintain transaction records.
  • To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud and abuse.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data to train third-party AI models.

4. Service providers (subprocessors)

We use the following third-party services to operate TexasPropPro. Each one is bound by its own privacy terms, linked below:

5. Data retention

We keep your account and property data for as long as your account is active. When you delete a property, it is retained for 30 days in a recoverable trash state before being permanently deleted. When you close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required to comply with legal, tax, or regulatory obligations (typically up to seven years for financial records).

6. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we have collected about you.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Request deletion of your personal information.
  • Obtain a portable copy of your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects (we do not engage in any of these today).
  • Appeal a decision we make about your rights request.

To exercise any of these rights, please visit our Privacy Rights Request page or email us at hello@texasproppro.com. We will respond within 45 days.

7. Security

We use row-level security in our database so your data is only accessible to you and the automated systems that need it to serve you. We encrypt data in transit using TLS and at rest using the protections provided by our hosting providers. No online service can be 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

TexasPropPro is intended for adults who own property in Texas. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page with a revised “Last updated” date, and, where required by law, by email.
